Introduction

ESCUSI.COM LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), a Wyoming limited liability company, operates the escusi platform, including the website at https://escusi.com and the escusi (guest), escusi Staff, and escusi Admin mobile applications for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Services.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Venue administrators: When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (stored in hashed form by Firebase Authentication — we never see it), and the venue and configuration details you provide, such as venue name and type, tables or rooms, and NFC tag setup. We also store the staff records you create (such as staff names and profile photos) and a device push token used to deliver notifications. Billing information is processed securely through Stripe.

Staff members: When staff join a venue using an invite code, we collect the name and profile photo they provide and a device push token used to deliver request notifications.

Guests: We do not require guests to create an account or provide personal information. When a guest sends a request by tapping an NFC tag or opening a link, we store operational information about that request — its type, the table or room, the venue, and the time — so staff can respond during the visit. This is information about the request, not about the guest personally.

Technical data: Operating the Services involves processing limited technical data inherent to delivering and securing them, such as IP address and basic device and connection information. We do not currently use analytics or crash-reporting tools in our apps; if we add them in the future, we will update this policy and our app-store disclosures first.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the escusi platform
  • Process subscription payments and NFC tag purchases
  • Send notifications to staff when guests make requests
  • Communicate with venue administrators about their account
  • Improve, secure, and optimize our Services and prevent abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Information

We share information only as described here:

  • Within a venue: guest requests are shown to that venue's staff and administrators, and the staff records a venue creates are available to that venue's administrators.
  • Service providers: we use Google / Firebase, Apple, and Stripe to host, operate, secure, and deliver the Services (see Third Party Services below).
  • Legal and protection: we may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third Party Services

We use the following third party services to operate escusi:

Firebase / Google: We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud for database storage, authentication, file storage, and push notifications. Your data is stored on Firebase servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase.

Stripe: We use Stripe to process subscription and tag payments. Your payment card details are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

Apple App Store / Google Play: The escusi, escusi Staff, and escusi Admin apps are distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play. Their respective privacy policies apply to data collected during app download and installation.

Google reCAPTCHA: Our website contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects device and usage information and sets cookies; its use is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Data Retention

Operational service-request and session records are automatically deleted after approximately 30 days. Staff and administrator account information is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access your personal data
  • The right to correct inaccurate data
  • The right to request deletion of your data
  • The right to object to or restrict processing of your data
  • The right to data portability

GDPR — European Users

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is:

  • Contract performance — to provide the Services you have subscribed to
  • Legitimate interests — to improve our Services and prevent fraud
  • Legal compliance — to meet our legal obligations

You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data appropriately.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, including the rights to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are necessary to operate the site and keep venue administrators signed in to the dashboard. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent the dashboard from working.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Staff and Admin apps are intended for adults acting for a business. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at support@escusi.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
